Job summary

Central Power Systems & Services in Missouri is seeking an Electrical Applications Engineer to own electrical solutions from application and design through manufacturing, testing, commissioning, and field support for generator systems.

You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, service, and project teams to translate customer requirements into practical electrical designs, perform calculations, review drawings, ensure code compliance, and drive projects from concept to on-site

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
3+ years of progressively responsible electrical engineering experience in power systems.
Experience interpreting electrical diagrams and control drawings.
Experience with electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM, EasyPower.
Ability to perform electrical calculations and system analysis.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with NEC/NFPA/IEEE and related standards.

Responsibilities

Design and develop electrical systems for generator sets and switchgear.
Create electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.
Perform load calculations, voltage drop, fault-current analysis.
Review customer requirements and develop engineering solutions.
Support manufacturing, testing, commissioning, and field installation.
Provide technical support during quoting and application processes.
Ensure designs comply with codes and standards.
