Job summary

Central Power Systems & Services is seeking an Electrical Applications Engineer to design, apply, and support generator systems from concept through manufacturing and field deployment. This role offers hands-on interaction with engineering, production, service, and customers to ensure robust electrical solutions.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of electrical engineering experience, strong power distribution knowledge, and proficiency with AutoCAD/Electrical, ETAP, SKM, and EasyPower.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 3+ years of progressively responsible electrical engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of electrical power distribution, controls, schematics, and electrical system design.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for diesel and natural gas generator sets, generator controls, switchgear, distribution systems, and related power generation equipment.
• Develop electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, control drawings, panel layouts, and electrical documentation.
• Review electrical designs for compliance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Provide engineering support throughout the life of a project—from initial application through production, testing, delivery, and field installation.
• Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, and customers to balance requirements, performance, manufacturability, cost, and schedule.
