Job summary

The Taylor Power team is seeking a Sales Representative to drive outside sales of generators and transfer switches. You will contact existing customers and prospects in person, by phone, and by email to identify needs and secure new business.

Expect collaboration with the General Sales Manager and Inside Sales to quote and close deals. You will present to groups at trade associations and tradeshows, using PowerPoint to support messages.

Qualifications

• Two years of generator sales experience preferred.
• Good mechanical knowledge of generators and transfer switches.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and email.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed generator bid specifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate response to sales inquiries from customers or prospects.
• Prepare detailed and descriptive written quotations using Taylor Power Quote System.
• Presentations to customer groups, trade associations, and at tradeshows.
• Develop relationships with customers to ensure long-term, repeat business.
