Job summary

Apparatus Repair & Engineering, Inc. seeks an Outside Sales Representative to drive new business and maintain relationships in the generator and power systems industry.

The role requires selling generator systems, service contracts, parts, and related equipment with strong technical and communication skills. The position involves on-site visits, presentations, and collaboration with engineering and service teams to deliver accurate quotations and timely project execution.

Qualifications

• Experience in outside sales for generator systems or industrial equipment.
• Strong understanding of generators, transfer switches, UPS systems.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel within assigned territory and meet sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers, including commercial, industrial, and municipal clients.
• Identify opportunities to sell generator systems, service contracts, parts, and related equipment.
• Conduct on-site visits, assess customer needs, and provide technical solutions and recommendations.
• Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations and proposals.
• Collaborate with engineering and service teams to ensure accurate quotations and timely project execution.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to close sales effectively.
• Track sales activity, maintain accurate records in CRM, and provide regular reports to management.
• Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote company offerings.
• Stay current on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies in power systems.
