Job summary

The Taylor Group in Covington, GA seeks a Sales Representative to drive outside sales of generators and transfer switches by engaging existing customers and identifying prospects in the assigned territory. Travel is required, with presentations to groups and at trade shows when needed.

You will prepare detailed quotes using our Taylor Power Quote System, work with the General Sales Manager and Inside Sales to follow up on inquiries, and build long-term relationships with customers through

Qualifications

• Two years of industrial/commercial generator sales experience.
• Solid knowledge of generators and transfer switches.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and email.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed bid specifications.
• Experience calling on customers and prospects at all levels.
• Strong follow-up with customers on quotes.
• Good people skills and ability to work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate response to any sales inquiry from customers or prospects.
• Prepare detailed and descriptive written quotations.
• Use computers and software to provide fast responses to customers.
• Submit timely reports and expense reports.
• Maintain a professional appearance with customers.
• Develop strong relationships with customers to ensure long-term, repeat business.
• Communicate regularly with the Sales Manager about leads and opportunities.
• Engage with customer trade associations and groups to promote our products and services.
