McGraw Hill is seeking a Software Engineer II - Applied AI to design and build AI-powered solutions used by millions of students and educators. You will work on the AI Platform team to develop Generative AI enabled apps, applying RAG and MCP techniques, with a focus on scalable, secure, and accessible software.

You will collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and other engineers, staying current with AI advancements and ensuring quality releases.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years of product or enterprise software development.
• Experience with full stack: Backend/API (Python, Node.js), Frontend (Angular/React), Databases, Infra (AWS/Azure, Terraform).
• Experience building scalable AI-powered solutions at enterprise level (Azure AI, OpenAI, Bedrock or similar).
• Hands-on with LangChain, RAG, and MCP concepts.

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain AI platform and AI-powered tools.
• Scope and implement project-level solutions with minimal guidance.
• Own development tasks and deliver code on time with quality mindset.
• Ensure accessibility with WCAG 2.2 AA in code and testing.

• Stay current with AI advancements and integrate new capabilities.
• Follow security practices and comply with data privacy regulations.
• Contribute to CI/CD processes and cloud infrastructure optimization.
• Promote engineering best practices for performance and maintainability.
