Job summary

Slalom is seeking a seasoned Data & AI technologist in the Miami area to design, build, and deploy generative AI and ML solutions. You will develop LLM-powered applications, apply ML/DL techniques, and contribute to traditional ML in CV/NLP.

You’ll stay ahead of trends and mentor peers, fostering a collaborative AI community within Slalom. The role emphasizes hybrid onsite work with commutable distance to a Slalom office, with occasional client-site days.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience implementing ML models in production.
• 2-4 years of professional consulting experience.
• Strong consultative and communication skills.
• Solid technical foundation with curiosity for ML/AI.
• Fluency in AI, GenAI, ML and major clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, embeddings, vector search, RAG, or similar.
• Experience with AI validation, observability, and production metrics.
• Experience deploying ML/AI into production.
• Excellent Python for ML/AI.
• Data Science/Data Engineering background preferred.
• Nice to have: sales support in Data Science/ML, Databricks/Snowflake familiarity, ML workflow tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy generative AI and ML solutions to solve business problems.
• Develop LLM-powered apps using RAG, agents, prompts, tool calls, and automation.
• Apply ML/DL techniques to create AI tools for real business needs.
• Contribute to traditional ML solutions in CV, NLP, and recommendations.
• Stay updated on AI/ML trends and contribute to solution discussions.
• Mentor teammates and grow the AI/ML community within the org.
