Job summary

Tampa Electric Company is seeking a Construction Supervisor to oversee field installation subcontract packages and direct subcontractors with a zero-accident philosophy. The role ensures project schedule adherence, contract compliance, and quality across heavy industrial and commercial settings.

Responsibilities include reviewing designs for constructability, managing change notices with contract personnel, and leading outage-related work in power plant facilities, with strong emphasis on safety

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education; some construction management training is required.
• College degree preferred; Associate of Applied Science; Military trade school may count; college degree may substitute four years of experience.
• Required: at least 10 years of experience in heavy industrial/commercial construction or construction management, including piping, mechanical and/or civil/structural work in power plant/heavy industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of field installation subcontract packages and monitor subcontractor work.
• Ensure safety, QA/QC and compliance with contract requirements across projects.
• Review project design to identify constructability issues and changes; coordinate with contract personnel on change notices.
• Monitor contractor progress and enforce schedule, safety, and environmental compliance; oversee multiple tasks and crews.
