Job summary

TECO Energy’s Tampa Electric Company is seeking a Construction Supervisor to oversee field installation subcontract packages, ensure zero-accident execution, and maintain project schedules across power plant and heavy industrial settings.

The role requires 10 years in heavy industrial/construction management, strong leadership, and expertise in mechanical/electrical/civil/structural systems, with a focus on QA/QC and regulatory compliance. Overnight travel and outages may be involved.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school education; construction management training.
• College degree may be required; relevant trade or military training considered.
• General or mechanical contractor license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality of work and identify critical items impacting project schedule.
• Review designs to identify constructability issues and approve change notices.
• Monitor contractors for safe, cost-effective execution and compliance with plans.
