Second Front Systems is a public-benefit software company focused on national security. We seek a metric-driven Generalist Recruiter who will own full-cycle recruiting across engineering, ops, growth, mission success, and sales.
You will source, screen, and place candidates while building warm benches for hard-to-fill roles, architecting sourcing strategies with Boolean search, and leveraging Ashby for pipeline configuration and reporting.
Second Front Systems is looking for a metric-driven, high-agency, detail-obsessed Generalist Recruiter to strengthen our talent acquisition function across engineering, ops, growth, mission success, and sales.
Operating at the seam between commercial software talent and mission-driven defense work, you will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and placing candidates who meet both the technical bar and the mission-driven mindset across multiple functions while building warm benches for hard-to-fill and senior roles.
You will architect sourcing strategies using Boolean search and LinkedIn Recruiter, manage concurrent pipelines in Ashby, read candidate motivation and close offers with precision, and synchronize criteria and feedback with hiring managers across functions, ensuring that every pipeline moves forward, late-stage drop-off is caught early, and time-to-fill and offer-acceptance metrics improve.
We need someone capable of owning full-cycle recruiting across technical and commercial functions with minimal supervision and shifting evaluation criteria role to role; sourcing passive talent at scale, qualifying fit under ambiguity, and negotiating offers confidently while reading motivation and preventing candidate attrition; and operating Ashby with fluency - pipeline configuration, reporting, workflow automation - and using metrics to adjust sourcing strategy mid-search.
As a key partner to hiring managers across engineering, sales, ops, growth, and mission success, you will keep every search moving without one going cold, surface high-signal candidates ahead of market competitors, and maintain sharp candidate experience through every round, serving as primary recruiting point of contact who pushes back on unrealistic specs without becoming a bottleneck and builds market and competitor intelligence into sourcing approach.
Note: Candidates must reside in one of our approved hiring hubs:
