Job summary

Texas Health Fort Worth is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift (7p-7a) with rotating weekends/holidays. The role requires an RN license, an Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing, BCLS, and CPI training within 90 days of hire.

Prior med-surg experience in an acute care setting is preferred to deliver high-quality post-op and wound care. A Magnet facility and Level I Trauma Center support growth.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire required.
• BCLS – Basic Life Support before providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire.
• 1-year RN experience or completion of an RN Residency program.
• 2+ years med surg experience as an RN in acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient information needs.
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift and inter-hospital and during transfers.
