Texas Health Resources in Fort Worth, Texas invites qualified RNs to join the Med Surg Department at Texas Health Southwest. This full-time night-shift role (7P-7A) includes rotating weekends and holidays and focuses on delivering comprehensive nursing care using the Nursing Process.

Candidates must have a Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing, be licensed as an RN, hold BLS, CPI and ACLS within specified timeframes, and have 1 year of acute care RN experience or complete RN residency.

Qualifikationen

• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
• BLS prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
• CPI training within 90 days of hire (required).
• ACLS within 90 days of hire (required).
• 1 year RN experience required in acute care setting or completion of an RN residency program required.
• Strong Med/surg RN experience in acute care setting preferred.

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information.
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
