Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med Surg Tele Dept. This full-time night shift (7P-7A) includes weekend and holiday requirements.

The 38-bed unit supports general med/surg with pulmonary, infections, renal, wounds, and cardiac drips; fast-paced and team-oriented with opportunities for growth. Requires a Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing, RN license, BLS, ACLS within 90 days, CPI training, and 1 year RN experience (2+ years preferred).

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or associate degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
• Current BLS required prior to providing independent patient care.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• CPI training within 90 days of hire.
• One year of RN experience or completion of an RN residency program.
• 2+ years Med/Surg or Tele RN experience in acute care with charge/preceptor skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient and plan the care of the patient using the Nursing Process.
• Deliver care to patients, intervening as appropriate and evaluating outcomes.
• Maintain continuity of patient care across shifts and transfers.
• Incorporate age-specific safety and infection control measures into patient care.
