Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Dallas seeks a Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical Trauma Unit on a full-time night shift. You will deliver patient-centered care in a 23-bed unit specialized in traumatic injuries.

The role requires RN licensure, BCLS, and experience; nursing education levels vary from diploma to BSN preferred. Expect rotating weekends/holidays and a supportive team focused on safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or higher required.
• RN licensure to practice (Upon Hire).
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) prior to patient care and maintained quarterly.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age-specific safety and infection control measures.
• Initiates information for patients and families.
• Maintains continuity of patient care across shifts and transfers.
• Cardiac Focused Care.
• Management of various cardiac drips.

Education

Nursing Diploma

Associate's Degree in Nursing

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
