Job summary

Texas Health Resources in Fort Worth is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Acute Medical Department. This full-time night shift 7 PM–7 AM supports a 36-hour workweek on a 38-bed unit with telemonitoring and a focus on patient-centered care.

As a BSN preferred facility with RN residency pathway, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care using the Nursing Process, while maintaining safety and infection control, and collaborating with our experienced teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or Nursing Diploma required.
• BSN preferred.
• One-year RN experience or completion of an RN residency program.
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing on hire.
• BCLS (AHA) prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• CPI training within 90 days of hire.
• 2+ years Med/Surg RN experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Strong med/surg experience including charge/preceptor skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information.
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and during transfers.
