Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; Surgical Tech program with the ability to sit for certification OR 2 years minimum in a Surgical Tech role.
• Experience: 2 years in a Surgical Technologist/Technician role if Surgical Tech program not completed.
• Licensure/Certification: American Heart Association CPR (BLS).
• Other Skills/Knowledge: Interpersonal and communication skills; strong computer skills with Microsoft software; analytical and problem-solving abilities; detail-oriented.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED; Surgical Tech program with certification and 3+ years in a Surgical Tech role OR 5+ years in a Surgical Tech role.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon and facilitate safe conduct of procedures in the operating room.
• Ensure operating room safety and proper functioning of equipment and instruments.
• Monitor patient condition and communicate with care team as needed.
• Comply with quality and safety standards and department policies.
