Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking Surgical Technologists at multiple levels to support the operating room team. The position pays hourly and salary varies by experience, with a stated range for Technologist I and II. The role emphasizes patient safety, equipment readiness, and collaboration with the surgical team.

Expected pay is $27.26–$38.48 per hour for Technologist I and II (with a 3% range adjustment for II). New grads may receive an additional $10K, and experienced staff may have $20K incentives.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; requires completion of a Surgical Tech program with the ability to sit for certification OR 2 years minimum working in a Surgical Tech role.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Surgical Technologist/Technician role if completion of a Surgical tech program has not been completed.
• Licensure/Certification: American Heart Association CPR (BLS)
• Other Skills/Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Solid computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft software; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Detail oriented; Adapting to intra-operative requirements; learning department policies and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive and non-invasive surgical procedures.
• Ensure operating room environment is safe and equipment functions properly.
• Notify the patient care team of significant patient conditions as necessary.
