Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse for General Surgery 3W on the Mercy Hospital South campus in St. Louis, Missouri. This full-time weekend night position offers 36 hours per week with a 7:00 pm–7:00 am shift.

The RN must graduate from an accredited nursing program, hold an active RN license (or compact license), and have a minimum of 2 years of patient care experience. BLS certification required; Bachelor’s in nursing preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Must hold and maintain an RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
