Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, Missouri is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for General Surgery 3W to join a patient‑focused team delivering high-quality surgical care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred; supervisor experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care following Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.
• Maintain professional accountability for the care of assigned patients.
• Assist with shift planning and handoffs during night shifts.
