Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the General Surgery 3W unit. This full-time weekend position offers nights from 7:00pm to 7:00am and a 36-hour weekly schedule.

The role requires a graduate of an accredited nursing program, current RN licensure (state or compact), and BLS certification. A minimum of 2 years of patient care experience is preferred, with supervision experience a plus and a BSN being preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN licensure in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• BLS certification required (within 30 days of hire).
• Minimum 2 years of patient care experience.
• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
