Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for General Surgery 3W at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO.

The role involves direct patient care using the nursing process, coordinating with multiple departments, and upholding patient rights and confidentiality during day-to-day operations. Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, current RN license in the state or compact license, BLS certification, and a minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Must maintain RN license and meet state board requirements.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum 2 years patient care experience.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process and maintain accountability for assigned patients.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments and ensure patient rights and confidentiality.
• Evaluate effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and modify plans as needed.
• Support a collaborative, compassionate team environment and align with Mercy service standards.
