Job summary

Mercy Hospital South is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the General Surgery 3W unit. This full-time position involves night shifts (7:00pm–7:00am) and a weekend schedule, totaling 36 hours per week, at Mercy Hospital South in St.

Louis, Missouri. The RN will deliver patient care following the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework, ensure patient rights and confidentiality, and collaborate with other departments to coordinate care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN licensure in the hiring state and/or compact licensure requirements.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.
• Supervisor experience preferred (optional).
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework and nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
