Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for General Surgery 3W to provide evidence-based patient care on a fast-paced unit. The full-time role supports day-to-day operations on night shift rotation from 7:00pm to 7:00am.

You will utilize the nursing process, evaluate care outcomes, and collaborate with the care team across departments, while upholding patient rights, confidentiality, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN licensure in hiring state or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required/no later than 30 days after hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing and supervisor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Performs duties in line with Mercy mission and Service Standards.
