Job summary

Kinsley Steel, Inc. is seeking a General Superintendent to lead on-site construction projects and supervise field foremen. You will ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

You will promote safety, coordinate weekly look-ahead schedules, attend project meetings, manage trades and material deliveries, and address issues with RFIs and as-built drawings. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Understanding of commercial construction and steel erection.
• Ability to lead and manage on-site teams.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for delegation and concerns.
• Proficiency with common field tools and equipment.
• Knowledge operating transit, laser level and torpedo levels.

Job description

Kinsley Steel is currently seeking a talented and experienced General Superintendent to join our growing team.

• Oversee and manage on-site construction projects and field foremen
• Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
• Promote a culture of safety among the team, and ensure that all safety precautions are followed on-site
• Coordinate weekly look-ahead schedules to anticipate any potential issues or delays
• Attend on-site project meetings, including those focused on safety, quality, scheduling, and production
• Coordinate with other trades and schedule material deliveries to the job site
• Address non-conformances, issuing corrective actions as needed
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise on-site and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) and complete as-built drawings

EXPERIENCE

• A solid understanding of commercial construction and steel erection
• Previous leadership experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills will allow you to effectively convey information, delegate tasks, and address any concerns that may arise
• Proficiency in using tools and equipment
• Experience and knowledge in operating equipment such as transit, laser level, and torpedo levels
• Valid driver's license required
