Job summary

Kinsley Steel, Inc. is seeking a General Superintendent to lead on-site construction projects and field foremen.

You will guide teams to deliver high-quality steel erection work on time and within budget, while enforcing safety standards. The role requires strong communication, coordination with trades, and proactive problem solving — issuing RFIs, addressing non-conformances, attending safety and production meetings, and producing accurate as-built drawings.

Job description

Kinsley Steel is currently seeking a talented and experienced General Superintendent to join our growing team.

• Oversee and manage on-site construction projects and field foremen
• Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
• Promote a culture of safety among the team, and ensure that all safety precautions are followed on-site
• Coordinate weekly look-a-head schedules to anticipate any potential issues or delays
• Attend on-site project meetings, including those focused on safety, quality, scheduling, and production
• Coordinate with other trades and schedule material deliveries to the job site
• Address non-conformances, issuing corrective actions as needed
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise on-site and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) and complete as-built drawings

EXPERIENCE

• A solid understanding of commercial construction and steel erection
• Previous leadership experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills will allow you to effectively convey information, delegate tasks, and address any concerns that may arise
• Proficiency in using tools and equipment
• Experience and knowledge in operating equipment such as transit, laser level, and torpedo levels
• Valid driver's license required
