Job Title: General Store Cashier / Stocker
Reports to: General Manager
General Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide information about products and services.
- Establish or identify prices of goods and apply price stickers.
- Key in or scan the price of merchandise and determine the total price.
- Participate in the development of window displays and counter displays under the supervision of the General Manager.
- Keep stock rooms organized and clean.
- Interact with customers professionally and friendly, encouraging sales and enhancing the Memphis experience.
- Be knowledgeable about sister venues such as Blues City Café, Club 152 on Beale, etc.
- Check inventory upon receiving incoming merchandise to invoice and confirm shipment.
- Handle cash and credit transactions honestly and professionally.
- Control and check outgoing merchandise, and reconcile payments with total sales.
- Prepare deposits, close the till, and manage the float.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in checkout areas, stock rooms, and the store.
- Participate in monthly or quarterly inventory counts and perform other related duties as assigned.
- Prioritize workload effectively, stay calm, and remain versatile for other activities as needed.

- Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and oral.
- Basic math skills and ability to operate a cash register or POS system.

- Organized in storage areas, displays, and stock rooms.
- Flexibility to work day and night shifts based on business needs.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to speak, hear, and see clearly.
- Identify and distinguish colors.
- Walk for long periods, with occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Use manual dexterity and motor skills frequently, including reaching, kneeling, and stooping.
