Job summary

Cooper Farms in Van Wert, Ohio, is seeking 1st shift General Production team members for the Van Wert Cooked Meats Plant. The role involves operating and maintaining equipment, following production, quality, and safety guidelines, and collaborating with teammates to meet standards.

Starting hourly rate is $17.50, with a possible increase to $17.75 at 90 days. The position includes monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses, comprehensive training, paid vacation, holidays, same-day pay,

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Able to stand for long periods.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 100 pounds.
• Work in a cool, damp environment.
• Entry level position with training provided.

• Operate and maintain knowledge of the departmental equipment and operations.
• Ensure that all procedures are carried out in accordance with production/quality/safety guidelines.
• Work with others to ensure all areas are up to standard and report any abnormalities.
• Accurately completing all required paperwork.

Cooper Farms is currently seeking 1st shift General Production team members to join our team in Van Wert.

SHIFT HOURS:

Monday through Friday 6:00am-2:30pm or 7:00am-3:30pm

STARTING HOURLY RATE:

$17.50 with a potential increase to $17.75 at 90 days

ADDITIONAL PAY:

Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)

All training will be provided for this entry level position. Job functions include:

• Operating and maintaining knowledge of the departmental equipment and operations
• Ensuring that all assigned procedures are carried out in an efficient manner in accordance with production/quality/safety guideline
• Working with others to ensure all areas are up to standard and reporting any abnormalities.
• Accurately completing all required paperwork

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• Ability to be on feet for prolonged periods of time
• Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 100 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a cool, damp environment
