Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store such as meat, bakery, produce and deli; also customer service and product flow experience is helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members with clear and precise direction.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and address root causes.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members to uphold a positive company image.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Support succession planning by identifying development needs and promoting from within.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions and advise on discharge decisions.
• Manage P&L, achieve sales goals and control shrink in the department.
• Mentor and coach team members to exceed customer service and sales targets.
