Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in store areas helpful.
• Clear, precise direction to team members.
• Ability to resolve conflicts by root-cause analysis.
• Manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Analyze financial and statistical information to drive decisions and suggestive selling.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise day-to-day operations in store departments.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning and career growth for team.
• Document disciplinary actions and provide discharge recommendations.
• Responsible for P&L, sales, and shrink control.
• Ensure safety and maintain Meijer standards.
• Ensure thorough training of team members and SDITs.
• Spend majority of time in-store communicating with customers and staff.
• Maintain positive Meijer image with courteous and efficient service.
