Sweet Briar College is a liberal arts college for women of consequence, located in the foothills of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains approximately 12 miles north of Lynchburg and 54 miles south of Charlottesville. Job Title: General Mechanic
Classification: Full-time, hourly, non-exempt
Reports To: Director of Physical Plant & Projects
Job Summary/Objective: The General Maintenance position performs as part of a multi-craft team, repairs, troubleshooting, installation, preventive maintenance, furniture installation, fire system testing, painting, and general service requests from our employees. Aids with construction, renovation, and capital projects.
Position Type/Expected Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am 3:30 pm; On-call work and some weekend work will be required
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
