Core Responsibilities of the General Manager

The General Manager is tasked with running a profitable restaurant while upholding McDonald's critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. Achieving these benchmarks requires a leader who can collaborate with senior leadership to set restaurant goals and create actionable plans to achieve them.

Beyond personal accountability, the role demands extensive team leadership. The General Manager directs a team of Department Managers, helping them set departmental objectives, monitoring progress, and delivering consistent coaching to elevate performance. By improving each department, the restaurant as a whole improves.

Additionally, the General Manager frequently oversees the recruitment and professional development of both Department and Shift Managers, ensuring the restaurant maintains a strong leadership pipeline for the future.

Required Candidate Profile

• Experience: Previous tenure as a General Manager running high-volume locations is essential.
• Industry Background: Quick-service restaurant experience is strongly preferred, though hospitality or retail management backgrounds are also valued.
• Age Requirement: Applicants must 18 years old or older to qualify for a management position.
• Leadership Acumen: Proven ability to mentor subordinate managers, delegate effectively, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
