Confidential client in Salisbury, MD is seeking a General Manager to own the P&L and lead a multi-site service operation in residential home services. You will recruit and coach the leadership team, set operating standards, and drive growth across a broad service area where speed and reputation win the business.

The role is hands-on, with platform backing and playbooks to deploy, while you maintain accountability for results and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Oversee service and install model: bookings, dispatch, productivity, ticket size, close rate, memberships.
• Lead service and install managers, dispatchers, CSRs, and technicians; hire, coach, and set standards.
• Recruit, retain, and structure pay for technicians in a competitive market.
• Deploy platform playbooks and ensure adoption across the region.
• Oversee licensing, permitting, safety, and fleet management.

Compensation: $180,000 to $220,000 base + bonus + long-term incentive

An established residential heating, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical brand serving homeowners across the Mid-Atlantic. The business is part of a national, private equity-backed home-services platform that brings shared services, proven playbooks, and capital to grow.

About the Role

We are hiring a General Manager to run the business. The seat owns the P&L, the leadership team, and the trajectory of the brand across a wide service area where reputation and response time win the work.

This is an operator's seat. The platform brings the playbooks and the backing. The brand needs a leader who takes ownership of the number, sets the operating standard, holds the team to it, and drives growth.

Industry background is not required. We care about whether you have owned results and led people who do hard, physical work. Strong candidates who are one step from a GM seat will also be considered for an Assistant General Manager track.

Responsibilities

• Full P&L: revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, and growth targets.
• The service and install model: call booking, dispatch and routing, technician productivity, average ticket, close rate, callbacks, and membership growth.
• Leadership of service and install managers, dispatchers, CSRs, and field technicians: hiring, coaching, and holding the bar.
• Technician recruiting, retention, and pay structure in a competitive labor market.
• Installing the platform playbook: deploying proven SOPs and confirming adoption rather than assuming it.
• Licensing, permitting, safety, and fleet across the service area.
• Forecasting, budgeting, and performance reviews with platform leadership.

Requirements

Must-Haves

• A track record of owning a P&L or running an operation where you were measured on the result, in any industry.
• Leadership of frontline teams. You have led crews, technicians, or operators and earned their trust.
• A self-directed operator's instinct. You find the answer, install it, and verify it worked.
• Financial fluency: you can read the P&L, find the leak, and close it.
• A bias to action and an ownership mentality over reporting activity.Based in or willing to relocate to the Salisbury, Maryland area.

Nice-to-Haves

• Multi-site or general management experience in home services, field services, or another service business.
• Experience running a geographically spread operation.
• Prior military leadership followed by civilian operating experience.

Compensation & Benefits

$180,000 to $220,000 base salary, plus an annual bonus and a long-term incentive.
