Job description

Lead Operations, Profitability, and Strategic Growth for a Southwest Florida Residential Construction Company
Job Overview
  • Company: Epic Home Solutions
  • Compensation: 90,000–120,000 per year plus performance bonus opportunity
  • Location: Naples, FL
  • Employment Type: Full Time
  • Work Environment: Primarily office-based with regular local jobsite travel
  • Project Focus: Residential remodeling, construction, roofing, and related services
  • Licenses & Certifications: General Contractor license preferred, not required
The Opportunity

Epic Home Solutions is looking for an experienced construction leader to take ownership of day-to-day operations and help guide the company through its next stage of growth.

The business is transitioning from a historically owner-driven, family-run operating model into a more structured and scalable organization. We need a General Manager who can combine practical construction knowledge with strong financial, people, and operational leadership.

You will oversee the systems and teams responsible for taking work from sale through successful project completion while keeping a close eye on profitability, quality, customer experience, and accountability.

This is not intended to be a day-to-day Project Manager position. Project Managers will remain responsible for running individual projects. The General Manager will oversee those PMs, monitor performance, address escalations, solve operational problems, and ensure the company is operating as one coordinated business.

How You Will Make an Impact
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of Epic Home Solutions.
  • Provide oversight and accountability across project management, estimating, sales, field operations, and administrative functions.
  • Manage company-wide and project-level financial performance.
  • Review job costing, margins, budgets, change conditions, and profitability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure projects remain financially healthy and operational issues are addressed before they become larger problems.
  • Oversee and support Project Managers while allowing them to own the daily execution of their individual projects.
  • Visit jobsites as needed to review quality, resolve escalated issues, support PMs, or address customer concerns.
  • Create stronger operating rhythms, accountability, reporting, and communication across departments.
  • Develop and improve SOPs, workflows, dashboards, and management processes.
  • Drive consistent adoption of company technology and operating systems.
  • Help move critical business information out of informal texts, paper processes, and individual knowledge into repeatable company systems.
  • Work with ownership to identify problems, recommend solutions, and execute priorities.
  • Maintain strong communication between sales, estimating, operations, office staff, subcontractors, and leadership.
  • Support accurate project handoffs from sales and estimating into production.
  • Monitor staffing needs, team performance, and operational capacity as the business grows.
  • Help establish the infrastructure required to scale the company toward its long-term revenue goals.
  • Maintain high standards for customer communication, construction quality, safety, and professionalism.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • 10 years of progressive experience in residential construction, general contracting, remodeling, roofing, or a closely related construction environment.
  • Significant leadership experience managing people, projects, departments, or business operations.
  • Strong understanding of residential construction from estimating and preconstruction through project execution and closeout.
  • Demonstrated experience managing P&L, job costing, budgets, gross margin, or business-unit financial performance.
  • Ability to identify operational and financial problems and take corrective action.
  • Experience managing or overseeing Project Managers and cross-functional construction teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement or improve operational systems, processes, SOPs, and accountability structures.
  • Strong understanding of project schedules, subcontractor coordination, quality control, and customer escalation management.
  • Comfortable working within CRM, project-management, accounting, and other business technology platforms.
  • Ability to lead employees through process and technology changes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with owners, field teams, office personnel, subcontractors, and customers.
  • Willingness and ability to travel locally between the office and project sites as operational needs require.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • Active Florida General Contractor license.
  • Experience leading a residential construction company, branch, division, or significant business unit.
  • Experience with high-end residential remodeling and custom construction.
  • Experience helping transition a founder-led or family-run company into a more standardized operation.
  • Experience scaling revenue, headcount, or operational capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of Southwest Florida construction practices and market conditions.
  • Experience with JobTread or comparable construction project-management platforms.
  • Experience implementing CRM, estimating, automation, reporting, or AI-assisted business tools.
What Success Looks Like

A successful General Manager will:

  • Become the primary operational leader for the business.
  • Allow ownership and the former owner to spend less time resolving routine day-to-day operational issues.
  • Improve visibility into project profitability and company performance.
  • Establish clear accountability across Project Managers and departments.
  • Increase consistency in how information, customer issues, project updates, and financial decisions are managed.
  • Strengthen adoption of the company’s systems and technology.
  • Identify issues early and bring ownership both problems and proposed solutions.
  • Build a scalable operational foundation capable of supporting significant revenue growth.
Leadership Environment

Epic Home Solutions is intentionally changing how the company operates.

The right person should be comfortable entering a business where:

  • Some long-standing processes have been informal.
  • Experienced employees possess valuable institutional knowledge.
  • New technology and operating systems are being introduced.
  • Ownership expects accountability but is also open to recommendations and coaching from an experienced construction leader.
  • The General Manager will have an opportunity to directly influence how the company’s future operating model is built.

This position requires someone who can respect what has worked historically while confidently improving what needs to change.

Compensation & Support
  • 90,000–120,000 annual base salary, depending on experience.
  • Annual performance bonus opportunity tied to company and individual performance.
  • Weekly pay cycle.
  • Company technology support, including smartphone/tablet resources as applicable.
  • Safety equipment provided for jobsite visits.
  • Opportunity to play a major role in the growth and professionalization of the company.
