Job summary

R&G Lounge in San Francisco is seeking a General Manager to own the P&L, lead the management team, and drive profitability while maintaining hospitality and guest experience. The role reports to the CEO, collaborates with kitchen leadership, and oversees daily operations in a high-volume setting.

You will partner with the CEO and CFO on financial results, manage labor and cost controls, and drive system implementations to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in restaurant management with P&L responsibility.
• 3+ years as GM or 5+ years as AGM in a high-volume full-service restaurant with meaningful P&L responsibility.
• Experience with a restaurant generating more than $8 million in annual revenue is strongly preferred.
• Direct P&L responsibility and a solid understanding of how to manage labor, food costs, and operating expenses.
• Experience in a Chinese or other Asian full-service restaurant, particularly a high-volume operation, is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the restaurant's P&L and review revenue, labor, food costs, and operating expenses each week.
• Lead and mentor the Business Operations Manager, Captains, and FOH team, with clear expectations and accountability for results.
• Improve restaurant systems and processes, including POS, reservations, and scheduling, and roll out new tools.
• Oversee private events, catering, and marketing initiatives to grow the business.
• Maintain standards for service, cleanliness, safety, and restaurant presentation.
