Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a General Manager I to lead a QSR restaurant or small cluster near the Miami area. This role ensures the operation is clean, staffed, open for business and meets high operational and financial standards.

The GM applies broad leadership judgment, drives profitability, recruits and develops staff, manages P&L, and partners with corporate programs to grow revenue while maintaining brand quality.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of overall restaurant experience with P&L responsibility
• 3 years of restaurant P&L management experience commonly required
• Graduation from a Food Service Management or Culinary program may substitute for time-based requirements
• Demonstrates team management, delegation and issue resolution skills
• Demonstrates knowledge of HMSHost policies, products, service standards and operations
• Able to read and understand menus and brand standards

Responsibilities

• Open and close the restaurant per opening/closing checklists
• Deploy staff and resources to maximize profitability and monitor shifts
• Interview candidates and make hiring decisions; promote HMSHost as employer of choice
• Ensure onboarding/offboarding and proper compliance with badging and training
• Monitor financial and operational data to meet unit goals and motivate the team
• Lead and coach staff to achieve business goals and high customer satisfaction
• Implement marketing programs and drive revenue in line with brand initiatives
