Job summary

U-Haul International, Inc. is seeking a General Manager to run a moving and storage center, drive profitability, hire and mentor staff, and maintain top-notch customer service. The role requires overseeing inventory, equipment, safety and daily operations in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will analyze P&L, manage budgets, and lead continuous improvement initiatives while delivering a high standard of care for customers and employees alike. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-3 years of management experience in retail or service industry with financial accountability.
• Proven ability to hire, train and mentor staff.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Hire and manage center staff, scheduling and performance coaching.
• Maintain center profitability by controlling inventory, expenses and revenue.
• Monitor equipment and facilities, ensure safety and compliance.
• Perform analysis of profit and loss and prepare reports.
• Deliver high level of customer care and respond to issues promptly.
• Coordinate training and participate in ongoing U-Haul education.
