Job summary

MOD Pizza, Inc. in Hillsboro, OR seeks a General Manager to lead the restaurant and a squad, delivering the MOD commitment to guests while maintaining profitability.

You will coach leaders, oversee staffing, and ensure a great guest experience through hands-on leadership and strong operational discipline. The role emphasizes meeting financial targets, implementing training plans, and engaging with the local community through fundraising and events.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience leading leaders in restaurant management.
• Experience executing training, performance and staffing programs in a restaurant or similar environment.
• Strong business acumen; ability to read and develop action plans from financials.
• Experience working with internal support teams in HR, Supply Chain, Marketing and other functions.
• Proficient in written and oral communication.
• Able to support restaurant hours, including peak demand hours (nights and weekends).
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must obtain a food safety certification and/or alcohol beverage certification within 30 days of start date or sooner where required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the entire squad with additional focus on developing leadership capabilities in the restaurant.
• Identify opportunities to improve and/or maintain restaurant performance and/or results, by regularly reviewing restaurant results and developing action plans to achieve success.
• Own restaurant staffing; build talent pipelines and ensure compliant interviewing practices.
• Follow policies and timelines regarding all required employee processing and compliance documentation.
• Utilize MOD training plans to help move newly hired squad along on their learning journey.
• Be a proactive community engagement ambassador and drive fundraising, catering, and other community initiatives.
• Plan staffing using forecasts and the labor model; accommodate schedule requests when possible.
• Maintain Loss Prevention and Asset Protection procedures for cash handling, food safety and safety & security.
• Manage squad performance with timely feedback and accountability for standards.
• Own, delegate and manage ordering and inventory to meet targets.
• Read internal communications and take action on upcoming initiatives.
