Restaurant Zone Recruiting is seeking an experienced General Manager in Costa Mesa to lead daily operations for a high-volume upscale restaurant. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong hospitality, and a proven track record in financial performance and team development.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fine dining or full-service concepts, be able to manage front and back of house, and build stable, high-performing teams while maintaining premium guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Proven GM or senior restaurant management in high-volume fine dining or polished full-service concepts.
• Experience leading both front and back of house operations.
• Strong understanding of restaurant P&L, labor, food cost, inventory, and profitability.
• 2+ years in recent positions preferred; stable career history.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations with high standards for food, service, hospitality, and cleanliness.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop managers and hourly team members.
• Build a strong leadership team with clear expectations and accountability.
• Oversee sales, labor, food costs, inventory, scheduling, and other KPI.
• Manage labor efficiently while maintaining service standards during high volume periods.
• Review financial performance and implement strategies to improve profitability.
• Collaborate with culinary and service leadership to ensure consistent execution.
• Maintain food safety, compliance, and restaurant operations standards.
• Resolve guest concerns professionally and protect guest experience.
• Support succession planning and develop future restaurant leaders.
• Maintain a visible floor presence and lead by example.
