Job summary

City BBQ in Charlotte is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead the restaurant team at our Ballantyne or Matthews locations. The role requires prior GM experience in quick casual or casual theme concepts, and a track record of high-volume, scratch-kitchen operations.

This role focuses on sales growth, cost control, staff development, and upholding City BBQ standards. Strong English communication and leadership are essential; a new restaurant opening experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school equivalency required; college coursework preferred.
• Previous supervisory and hospitality industry experience preferred.
• Proficient communication in English (verbal and in writing).
• Proven track record of success as a restaurant manager.

Responsibilities

• Lead restaurant team to achieve personal and company growth in sales, profits, operations & quality standards, and people practices.
• Develop and execute the local store marketing plan to build relationships with civic, business, school, and professional organizations to drive sales and guest counts.
• Maximize profits by controlling expenses within established budget guidelines and through using productivity & efficiency tools for food and labor costs.
• Ensure the restaurant meets City BBQ operations, sanitation, and quality standards and complies with government regulations.
