Job summary

City BBQ is seeking an Assistant General Manager for our Indianapolis team. The role leads the restaurant to achieve growth in sales, profits, operations, and people practices within a fast-paced, scratch-kitchen environment.

The ideal candidate has prior GM experience in quick casual or casual concepts, a proven coaching record, and a commitment to City Map values, guest relationships, and community involvement.

Qualifications

• High school equivalency required; college coursework preferred.
• Previous supervisory and hospitality industry experience preferred.
• Proficient communication in English (verbal and writing).
• Proven track record of success as a restaurant manager.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational planning to grow guest counts and sales.
• Develop local store marketing to build relationships with civic, business, school, and professional organizations to drive sales and guest counts.
• Maximize profits by controlling expenses within established budget guidelines and through productivity and efficiency tools for food and labor costs.
• Ensure restaurant meets or exceeds City Barbeque standards and complies with government regulations.
• Coach and develop management team; reinforce core values and performance management processes.
