Job summary

City Barbeque in Whitestown, IN is seeking an Assistant General Manager/Kitchen Manager to lead daily kitchen operations, manage production and forecast needs. You will ensure quality, consistency, and timely service while maintaining cost controls and standards.

You’ll hire and train kitchen staff, coach teams, and partner with the Front of House to deliver an exceptional guest experience. This role requires hands-on leadership and a passion for craft barbecue.

Qualifications

• Experience leading kitchen operations in a fast-paced restaurant.
• Ability to hire and develop kitchen staff and maintain schedules.
• Strong focus on food quality, safety, and cost-control.

Responsibilities

• Oversee kitchen operations and food production for quality and timing.
• Lead line checks, recipe adherence, and portion control.
• Train, coach and manage kitchen staff and new product rollouts.
• Coordinate with FOH to ensure guest experi- ence meets standards.
• Monitor inventory, costs, and waste for budget goals.
