Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a capable manager to run a U-Haul moving and storage center in Massachusetts. You will drive profitability, oversee fleet operations, and maintain high service standards for customers while mentoring staff and managing budgets.

The role requires 1–3 years of retail management with P&L responsibility, strong organizational and computer skills, and a valid driver’s license. Weekend and holiday work is expected.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of management experience in retail or another service industry with responsibility for financial results and customer satisfaction.
• Organizational and computer skills required.
• Management proficiency in high-volume retail with P&L accountability.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage a U-Haul moving and storage center.
• Keep the center profitable and efficient.
• Manage the fleet and deliver clean, well-maintained equipment.
• Perform profit/loss analyses.
• Hire and mentor new team members.
• Track and itemize inventory.
• Manage the personnel budget.
• Ensure customers receive the highest quality of care.
• Track fuel receipts and petty cash.
• Clean and monitor premises and maintain a secure environment.
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
