Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a driven Store/Center Manager for a U-Haul moving and storage center. You will be responsible for profitability, efficiency, and top-notch customer care, while leading and mentoring staff and maintaining a safe, well-kept facility.

The role requires managing P&L in a high-volume retail environment, handling budgets, and ensuring quality customer experiences. Weekend/holiday availability and a valid license are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of management experience in retail or service with responsibility for financial results and customer satisfaction.
• Computer expertise and strong organizational skills.
• Proven P&L accountability in a high-volume retail operation.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to work weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to move at least 50 lbs and work around moving parts, machines, fumes or chemicals; protective gear may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a U-Haul moving and storage center to ensure profitability and efficiency.
• Hire effective staff and mentor new team members.
• Manage the fleet to deliver clean, well-maintained equipment.
• Perform profit/loss analyses and manage the personnel budget.
• Track and itemize inventory; monitor fuel receipts and petty cash.
• Ensure customers receive the highest level of care.
• Maintain a secure, clean environment and monitor premises.
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
