Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a responsible General Manager to lead a moving and storage center in Lawrence, MA. You will oversee profitability, staff hiring, inventory, and equipment maintenance in a fast-paced environment.

Key duties include cost analysis, budget management, and ensuring top-tier customer service while maintaining safety. Candidates should be able to work weekends/holidays and drive as needed to manage the center effectively.

Qualifications

• 1 years of management experience in retail or service with profit and loss responsibility.
• Computer literacy and ability to manage inventory and budgets.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Valid drivers license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage the fleet to deliver clean and well-maintained equipment.
• Perform profit/loss analyses.
• Hire and mentor new team members.
• Track and itemize inventory.
• Manage the personnel budget.
• Ensure customers receive high-quality care.
• Monitor fuel receipts and petty cash.
• Maintain a safe, clean premises and secure environment.
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
