Job summary

Greenberg Fruit Company, a long-standing distributor of fresh fruits and vegetables serving Eastern Nebraska and Western Iowa, seeks a senior operations leader to oversee company operations, project timelines, and employee productivity while fostering an inclusive culture.

You will collaborate with the Regional President to align strategy, analyze sales history and gross margins, drive forecasting, and implement financial procedures to exceed industry averages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in business administration, management, or related field; leadership experience in produce or food distribution preferred.
• Proficient PC skills in CRM and ERP systems, Produce Pro, Excel and common email systems.
• Retail Grocery Channel experience developing a product portfolio for grocery retailers and servicing specialty independent groceries.

Responsibilities

• Oversee company operations, project timelines, business developments, and employee productivity while building an inclusive culture.
• Refine and communicate company priorities to employees and the marketplace.
• Provide analysis of operations, key metrics, and major decisions for leadership.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to align cross-functional objectives with company goals.
• Analyze sales history and gross profit trends to forecast future sales and company projections.
• Work with the Regional President to set and drive vision, corporate strategy, and hiring needs.
• Develop actionable business strategies and plans to ensure short- and long-term objectives are met.
• Implement financial procedures and policies to improve operating capabilities and profitability.
• Assess and adopt improved processes and new technologies in collaboration with management.
