Job summary

Peacock Gap Golf Club in San Rafael, CA is seeking a General Manager to oversee the entire facility, including Golf, Range Cafe, and The Clubhouse event center. The role covers budgeting, strategic planning, staffing, and training to drive revenue, guest satisfaction and quality service.

The ideal candidate brings at least five years of hospitality and golf operations experience, strong leadership, and knowledge of labor laws.

Qualifications

• At least five years of hospitality, golf, food & beverage and event operations experience, including budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations.
• Education in field or related business preferred.
• Knowledge of golf, event, food & beverage/restaurant front and back of house operations.
• Familiar with restaurant, event and golf equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bi-Lingual a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills, energetic, enthusiastic and motivational.
• Knowledge of laws pertaining to the industry, including labor laws.

Responsibilities

• Work in coordination with the Course Superintendent to ensure the golf course and range is maintained to the established golf standards.
• Lead the sales and events team to drive revenue and provide first class event service.
• Ensure that all food and beverage products are consistently purchased, inventories, secured, prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
• Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling, loss prevention and reconciliation procedures.
• Responsible for recruiting, staffing, training, developing and evaluating staff.
• Provide effective leadership and communication to employees.
• Prepare budget that includes all revenue sources and expenses and monthly spreads.
• Manage departments to achieve and exceed budget targets.
• Administers, develops and enforces all Club rules, regulations, and procedures for the staff and customers.
