Job summary

Peacock Gap Golf Club in San Rafael, CA is seeking a skilled golf course mechanic responsible for a comprehensive preventive maintenance program, repair of diesel, electric and gasoline-powered equipment, and accurate parts and labor records.

You will communicate maintenance needs to the superintendent, prioritize safety, maintain a clean shop and maintenance building, and perform emergency repairs on course equipment when needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as golf course mechanic.
• Certificate in mechanics, small engine repair, or other mechanical certifications preferred.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Strong time management and multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical defects in golf course equipment (diesel, electric, gasoline).
• Repair and adjust cutting mechanisms on mowing equipment.
• Set up and modify new equipment as needed.
• Prioritize repair and maintenance work within budget.
• Maintain a preventive maintenance program for all equipment.
