Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a General Manager to lead one of our moving and storage centers in a fast-paced environment. You will hire, train and mentor staff, control inventory and equipment, and ensure profitable operations.

The role requires 1–3 years of retail management with P&L accountability, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work weekends and holidays. Comprehensive benefits accompany this position at U-Haul.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of management experience in retail or another service industry with responsibility for financial results and customer satisfaction.
• Organizational expertise.
• Management proficiency in high-volume retail with profit and loss (P&L) accountability.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a good driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Manage the fleet to deliver clean and well-maintained equipment and assets.
• Perform profit/loss analyses and drive center profitability.
• Hire and mentor new team members to build a strong staff.
• Track and itemize inventory and manage the personnel budget.
