Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Queen Creek, AZ is seeking a General Manager to lead daily operations, train and coach crew, ensure food safety, service quality, and achievement of financial targets.

You will manage scheduling, staffing, inventory, and reporting, while upholding Sonic's standards, policies, and guest experience ethos. The role demands strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with weekend/holiday availability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; studies in business/restaurant management preferred.
• Minimum of two years restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Ability to work a minimum 5 days with irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices.
• Familiarity with labor laws and health regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Basic accounting and computer skills; ability to multi-task.
• Adherence to appearance, uniform and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches crew and management staff.
• Directs drive-in employees to meet service and safety standards.
• Prepares staff schedules and adjusts staffing as needed.
• Monitors inventory and places orders within cost controls.
• Maintains payroll and personnel records.
• Develops action plans to address sales trends and financial performance.
• Develops and implements marketing plans.
