Job summary

Up Hospitality Partners in Nashville is seeking a General Manager to lead daily operations for a growth-focused hospitality group. You will drive performance across culinary, beverage, events, and human performance while supporting the Executive Chef and Culinary Managers on production, costing, and inventory management.

This role includes structured classes in finance and leadership, daily mentorship, and a clear path to future growth. Salary ranges 70k–80k with incentives and 3 weeks of PTO.

Qualifications

• Management experience in food & beverage or related field.
• Ability to read and manage financial statements.
• Experience in budgeting and cost control.
• Experience in event operations.
• Certifications in TABC and ServSafe (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Own Vision, Values, and culture across operations.
• Drive performance in culinary, beverage, events, and human performance.
• Support Executive Chef and Culinary Managers on production, costing, and inventory.
• Partner with Event Manager on events and activations.
• Maintain accurate financials and timely reporting with CFO.
• Coach and develop the team with schedules, feedback, and follow-up.
• Maintain full P&L accountability and budgeting ownership.
• Hire and train a team aligned to Purpose and Values.

What You\'ll Own as General Manager

• Championing our Vision, Values, and culture in everything you do
• Driving organizational performance across culinary, beverage, events, and human performance - holding the highest standards and pushing them higher
• Supporting your Executive Chef and Culinary Managers on production consistency, costing, inventory, and fiscal goals
• Partnering with the Event Manager on flawless events, catering, and activations
• Keeping accurate financials and timely reporting alongside our CFO
• Coaching, mentoring, and developing your team daily: schedules, checklists, feedback, and follow through
• Being the go-to, accountable partner for our Managing Partners
• Owning scheduling and budgeting for your restaurant
• Hiring and training a team that lives and breathes our Purpose and Values
• Holding full P&L accountability
• Upholding our definitions of excellence for every role in the restaurant
• Moving the restaurant forward in service, quality, and profitability

What We\'re Looking For

• Management experience in food & beverage or another industry
• Fluency reading and managing financial statements
• Proficiency with Google Drive and Microsoft Office
• Demonstrated ability to manage and improve a budget
• Experience in event operations
• TABC certification and ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain - renewals/updates covered by the company)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, not required
